Hello Edmund. Once Yosri asked me for help when ms.wiki was under attack of multiple open proxies, because of that I added ms.wiki to our "watched" wikis. It depends who chats in the channels, if there is a bot that outputs a feed from the recent changes in a channel for example You would see all recent changes in real time, the IRC recent changes channels are maintained by wikimedia while the chatting servers are maintained by freenode. Everyone is free to join both. The rc-channel for ms.wiki would be #ms.wikipedia for example, of course there are hundreds and the raw output of everything would be seen there, also bots.
