Daniel Michael Blake Day-Lewis (born 29 April 1957) ialah seorang bekas pelakon kelahiran United Kingdom.[1]

Beliau dikenali melalui pendekatan lakonannya yang sangat menjiwai sesuatu watak dengan mengkaji dalam-dalam segala apa yang berkaitan dengan persona watak dipilih sebelum berlatih lakon.[2][3] Malah, beliau sering tidak melepaskan diri daripada lakonannya waima menjejaskan kesihatan diri.[4][5][6] Beliau amat cerewet dengan pilihan filem yang mahu dilibatkannya - beliau hanya berlakon sebanyak enam filem dari mula tahun 1998.[7] Beliau juga sangat mementingkan privasinya sehingga jarang tampil diwawancara mahupun menampilkan diri di depan orang ramai.[8]
Kenekadan dalam lakonannya membawa kepada persembahan yang dilihat banyak memukau penonton dan meraih seberapa anugerah termasuk Anugerah Akademi untuk Pelakon Lelaki Terbaik sebanyak tiga kali,[9] empat Anugerah BAFTA untuk Filem Terbaik, tiga Anugerah Screen Actors Guild dan dua Anugerah Golden Globe. Beliau sendiri dianggap sebagai antara pelakon terbaik sepanjang zaman seni wayang.[4][10][11][12]

Most of us would start any list of those few truly exceptional actors – the shape-shifters as they are sometimes called, individuals who can inhabit another character in its entirety without ever lapsing into impersonation – with Marlon Brando, then veer off into a truculent debate about whether Laurence Olivier was the greatest of them all or just an old ham with stale tricks. Robert De Niro would get a mention of course – Meryl Streep, no doubt. But almost everyone would finish with Day-Lewis.
