William Montgomery Watt

William Montgomery Watt (14 Mac 1909 – 24 Oktober 2006^[1]) adalah seorang ahli sejarah Scotland, Profesor Emeritus dalam Bahasa Arab dan Pengajian Islam di Universiti Edinburgh. Watt merupakan salah seorang pentafsir Islam bukan-Muslim terpenting di Barat, dan seorang sarjana berpengaruh dalam bidang pengajian Islam."^[2] Biograpfi menyeluruhnya terhadap Nabi Muhammad s.a.w., Muhammad at Mecca (1953) dan Muhammad at Medina (1956), dianggap sebagai klasik dalam bidang ini.^[2]
