Ministers? I don't really see anything wrong with this article. Yes, he is a rookie politician and did not win the by-election, but I don't see why it should be deleted. Basically, it is about a living person and the whole Singapore knows him. If he had won the election and became an MP, then he would be representing the constituency in Parliament. Then, in that case, I don't think he would be "not notable", and I don't think you need to be a "minister" to be "notable". I don't think you would want to say that your MP is "not notable".
