@Muhd Aiman65:, maaf kerana lambat menjawab. Wikipedia asalnya daripada bahasa Inggeris, dan perisiannya, yang dipanggil Mediawiki, bukan sahaja diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Melayu, tetapi juga bahasa-bahasa lain. Jadi sebenarnya, 'category' ditukar kepada 'kategori', 'user talk' kepada 'perbincangan pengguna', 'template' kpd 'templat' dan sebagainya. Namun demikian, ada juga beberapa perkara yang tidak diterjemahkan di wiki ini dan juga wiki-wiki bahasa lain. --Algazel ^(bincang) 12:16, 13 Disember 2013 (UTC)

@Muhd Aiman65:. Item Wikidata (yang kelihatan macam ini: Q12711356) tidak sama dengan item buat rencana bahasa2 lain (Item: Q219712). Saya fikir ini disebabkan kesilapan bot yang menambah item wikidata pada rencana BM.

Twinkle

Algazel, saya nak bersoal, kenapa kalau saya gunakan Twinkle di sini, hasilnya pasti berbahasa Inggeris, bukannya bahasa Melayu? Contohnya saya pernah membatalkan suntingan laku musnah di suatu rencana, hasilnya ialah "Reverted 1 vandalism edit by xxx (talk) to last revision by xxx." Namun, kalau saya menggunakannya di WBI, pasti hasilnya macam ini: "Membatalkan 1 suntingan oleh xxx (pembicaraan) diidentifikasi sebagai vandalisme ke revisi terakhir oleh xxx" (terjemah:Membatalkan 1 suntingan oleh xxx (perbincangan) yang diketahui sebagai laku musnah ke semakan terakhir oleh xxx). Coalition

Dari segi makna, Coalition lebih bererti persetujuan untuk bergabung/pakatan, berbanding mix/campuran. Ini kerana beberapa negara bersetuju untuk bergabung tentera, berbanding beberapa batalion di gabungkan oleh pemerintah mereka, rela atau tidak. @Yosri: saya juga periksa dengan PRPM (kata carian:"coalition") sebelum membuat pengalihan: "government consisting of separate political parties, kerajaan campuran"; dan "Penyatuan sementara beberapa parti, orang, atau negeri untuk bekerjasama membentuk sebuah pemerintahan bersama." (Takrif bidang sejarah.) Ya memang secara amnya "campur" bermakna "mix" tapi saya pilih "campuran" kerana berpendapat "pakatan" lebih serasi dengan "Pact" mahupun sudah tentu 1st hingga 4th Coalition itu muncul daripada sesuatu "pact" antara negara2 terlibat. Saya guna kata carian "triniti" di PRPM dan menggunakan hasilan pencarian istilah itu. Saya perhatikan yang kadang2 enjin gelintar PRPM akan mengembalikan keputusan yang berlainan bergantung pada istilah carian. Saya lazimnya menggunakan kata carian Inggeris, tapi kalau saya agak terdapat kata BM, saya akan gunakan kata carian BM. Dalam hal ini pakatan/(sepakat) adalah lebih tepat. Seperti Pakatan Rakyat dengan Campuran Rakyat. Pakatan memerlukan persetujuan anggota/pemimpin anggota. Campuran tidak perlu. I.e. pertahanan Singapura oleh regimen Melayu, India, British. Yosri (bincang) 03:08, 26 Disember 2013 (UTC)

@Yosri:, saya masih berpegang yang "Pakatan" lebih merujuk kepada (PRPM) "Pact"; tapi kita tak perlu terus berdebat – saya fikir kita berdua bersetuju yang banyak perkara yang perlu diselesaikan. OK, dalam hal ini kita "agree to disagree" :) Saya boleh membalikkan lencongan, tidak ada masalah.

Lebih penting, saya ingin mendapatkan pandangan saudara tentang nama Malaya Command yang ditukar kpd "Gerakan Tanah Melayu". Saya ada membuat saranan di laman perbicangan rencana yang nama baru ini tak tepat. Dari segi ketenteraan, istilah Inggeris memiliki maksud khusus. Misalnya, "combined" bermaksud tentera negara A bergabung dengan tentera negara B; "joint" membawa makna angkatan2 negara A bergabung sesama sendiri – justeru ATM ada Markas Bersama (Joint HQ) yang mengndalikan operasi2 bersama seperti Op Fajar di perairan Teluk Aden (TDM, TLDM dan unsur2 TUDM); "amfibi" membawa makna operasi yang melibatkan unsur2 laut, darat dan udara sementara "seaborne" membawa makna penglibatan laut dan darat sahaja. Sama juga dengan "Command" yang membawa maksud khusus "Pemerintahan" dan "Operations" yang membawa maksud "Gerakan". Saya rasa PM Poon tersilap semasa membuat perubahannya.

Dalam hal pertahanan Singapura, istilah "Campuran" tidak masuk cerita kerana kesemua anggota tentera darat, termasuk III Kor pimpinan Heath (India), 8 Div (Australia) dan 1 Malaya Brigade (kedua2 bn Askar Melayu) diletak di bawah komander British, yakni Percival, dan lebih mirip "combined" operations, mahupun istilah2 ini belum digunakan pada masa itu. Saya berniat untuk mengembangkan rencana2 Kancah Pasifik Perang Dunia ke-2/operasi di Malay|a|sia dan kalau saudara berminat, boleh lihat Field Manual (muka surat 51) Tentera AS tentang takrif/penggunaan istilah2 ini. --Algazel ^(bincang) 03:57, 26 Disember 2013 (UTC)

  • To give this section some life, since the development team had their holidays last week meaning nothing really got done (let them have one week off at least), I'll say a few words. 2014 is a new year and thus a new start, over the last year Wikidata celebrated its first birthday which brought reflection over what Wikidata had accomplish. Therefore I want to use the start of 2014 to reflect what Wikidata can do. For my personal over view see this page. For the summary, while it is meant to be a weekly simple update, I feel this can be used a lot more effective to put across not only what happened on Wikidata but things about Wikidata on other wikis, I am hoping to start a section over this within the next few weeks.   • The "personal settings" allow you to import your Babel info from Wikidata. This can be used to restrict the random items you will get.
  • The first iteration of "on the fly" text generation for English. It works for "humans" and, is completely based on the available Wikidata information.
  • You can now add labels in your language from within Reasonator. Technically oAuth is used. It now takes just one click to add a label in your language.
• Did you know?
  • Newest properties: IAAF ID, Lagrangian point
  • Showcase items: Vesta (Q3030)
• Development
  • Wrote performance tests so we can track performance improvements better
  • Did a code review of all gadgets that are enabled by default in Wikidata. Found and fixed a performance bottleneck.
  • Work on making the interface more responsive, e. g. live preview when editing labels and updating the watchlist star when saving.
  • Started refactoring and fixing issues with automatically created summaries that are, for example, created by bots via API calls.
  • Fixed an issue with OAuth on Wikidata because of permissions
  • Started code review of the code the student team is working on for suggestions
  • Discussed updates to the data model document to be able to update it to the actual implementation
  • Did a technical debt analysis and design review of Wikibase.git, with initial focus on WikibaseLib
  • Got (backend) EntityStore on the way, so we can test API modules without touching the database
  • Further work on TimeParsers move to the backend

• Newest task forces: Heraldry task force
• Development
  • Reduced page load time significantly once again. Page load time was cut to roughly 2/3. For now we’re happy with the resulting page load times. We’ll start concentrating on other areas of the user interface now.
  • Fixed faulty selection handling when adding a property using the keyboard (bugzilla:62868)
  • Worked on fixing issues with handling of spaces in quantities (bugzilla:62567)
  • Fixed miscount of Wikidata changes on the client watchlist (bugzilla:45812)
  • Wrote new browser tests for special pages using the Cucumber and Selenium frameworks
  • Improved error formatting, localisation and handling. We will work on error message wording next to make them more understandable.
  • Worked on the code which propagates page moves from the clients into Wikidata as a preparation for allowing page deletions to appear on Wikidata
  • Made the Wikibase extension work with the new “Compact language links” Beta feature and a bit more independent from the UniversalLanguageSelector in general
  • The student team working on the entity suggester has finished the first version of it. The code is being reviewed now and is hopefully ready for deployment soon. Once it is deployed it will show you what new properties you could add to an item.
