Aaaaba
Aaaaba adalah genus kumbang dari keluarga Buprestidae. Ia menghuni kawasan di sepanjang pantai timur Australia. Ia telah diterangkan pada tahun 1864 oleh Achille Deyrolle sebagai "Alcinous", satu junior homonym daripada genus pycnogonids.[1] Pada tahun 2002, Charles Bellamy memberikan nama pengganti nomen novum "Aaaba", tetapi ini terbukti menjadi satu lagi homonim junior, dari genus spans. Pada tahun 2013, ia diberi nama pengganti lanjut, menjadi Aaaaba.[2]

Terdapat dua spesies dalam genus ini:
- Aaaaba nodosa (Deyrolle, 1865)
- Aaaaba fossicollis (Kerremans, 1903)
Nama genus ini adalah feminin di bawah ICZN Artikel 30.2.4 ("Jika tiada jantina yang dinyatakan atau ditunjukkan, nama itu perlu dianggap sebagai maskulin, kecuali, jika nama itu berakhir dengan -a jantinanya adalah feminin").[3]
Taburan
